Who we are
You might remember the Blue Light Discos – the drug and alcohol-free events for young people set up by Victoria Police in the 1970s and still remembered by generations of Victorians.
Today we are a trusted youth charity investing in the futures of young people aged 10 to 21. Our focus is prevention and early intervention, reaching young people early to build capability, connection and positive life choices.
What sets us apart is how we do it. Blue Light Victoria is the only organisation in Victoria that partners with Police and Emergency Services across all our programs, creating safe, positive and trusted relationships that support young people when it matters most.

Victoria Police
Victoria Police are active partners across all our programs, engaging directly with young people as trusted adult role models, helping to build positive relationships and stronger community connections.
This partnership also supports Victoria Police’s A Safe Victoria strategy, its Schools Engagement Model and Neighbourhood Policing initiatives.
Australian Federal Police
Australian Federal Police have been partnering with Blue Light Victoria since 2024 through our school-based programs, supporting young people to make positive choices and connect with their community.
Emergency Services Partners
Ambulance Victoria, Fire Rescue Victoria, Triple Zero Victoria and Victoria State Emergency Service play a key role in our programs, fostering positive relationships with young people, promoting community safety, and providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
